Job Summary

As a Sales and Project Engineer at HR Genie, you will be responsible for developing innovative solutions and quotations based on customer requirements. You will work closely with engineers, programmers, and suppliers to ensure technical compatibility of solutions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Customer Requirements
    • Translate customer requirements into highly specified project briefs
    • Identify options for potential solutions and assess them for both technical and business suitability
  • Solution Development
    • Create logical and innovative solutions to complex problems
    • Present proposals to clients
  • Project Management
    • Work closely with engineers and programmers to ensure technical compatibility of solutions
    • Interpret and develop machine/assembly processes based on customer requirements
    • Generate costing spreadsheets and calculate final selling price for solutions
  • Customer Relations
    • Maintain and improve customer relations
    • Serve as point of contact for non-routine technical issues for major customers
Requirements
  • Education
    • Formal tertiary education in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or Electrical Engineering
  • Experience
    • Sales and marketing experience
    • Project management experience (advantageous)
    • Experience in automation field, PLC, and control systems
  • Skills
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
    • Excellent communication and presentation skills
    • Ability to work in a team environment
Preferred Qualifications
  • Language Skills
    • English (read, write, and speak)
    • Afrikaans (read, write, and speak) (optional)
    • German (read, write, and speak) (optional)
