The Role & Responsibilities

">

We are seeking an experienced Marketing Manager to join our team in Johannesburg. As a key member of our marketing team, you will be responsible for growing brand awareness and customer base, increasing traffic across all channels, and optimizing website conversion.

">

You will lead and coordinate our yearly Sales & Marketing Plan, implementing and adjusting strategies according to ROI throughout the year.

">

Key responsibilities include:

">
  1. ">
  2. Create and pitch the annual marketing plan, setting key marketing objectives to achieve business goals and brand positioning.">
  3. Define precise roadmaps and budget splits across marketing functions (PR, CRM, Social Media, Online / Offline Media, Website).">
  4. Drive the implementation of online and offline plans.">
  5. Successfully coordinate and execute sales operations with commercial peers.">
  6. Monitor business and action ROI, recommending adjustments as needed.">

Brand Awareness and Desirability

">

You will launch impactful region-wide actions to develop brand awareness and desirability for existing sun and snow destinations, as well as for our new domestic resort.

">

This includes:

  1. ">
  2. Recommending, briefing, and adapting EAF creative materials for local markets.">
  3. Collaborating with EAF Marketing team to launch online and offline branding campaigns.">
  4. Leveraging PR efficiently, planning media and influencer opportunities, and initiating local PR and influencer events or press trips.">

Omnichannel Traffic Growth

">

You will drive omnichannel qualified traffic growth and optimize online conversion by ensuring a seamless customer journey from initial ideas to final payment steps.

">

This includes:

  1. ">
  2. SUPERVISING THE MONITORING OF WEBSITE PERFORMANCE, ALERTING AND RECOMMENDING IMPROVEMENTS WHEN NECESSARY TO MAXIMIZE TRAFFIC CONVERSION.">
  3. CLOSELY COLLABORATING WITH CONTACT CENTER AND MANAGER TO ENABLE A TRUE OMNICHANNEL APPROACH.">

Customer, Market, Competitors, and Product Knowledge

">

You will be the expert in customer, market, competitors, and product knowledge, gathering intelligence through client focus groups, calls listening, trade partner meetings, client feedback, and sales trends analysis.

">

This includes:

  2. PRO-ACTIVELY GATHERING CUSTOMER INTELLIGENCE THROUGH CLIENT FOCUS GROUPS, CALLS LISTENING, TRADE PARTNER MEETINGS, CLIENT FEEDBACK, AND SALES TRENDS ANALYSIS.">
  3. LEVERAGING MARKETING AGENCIES AND MARKET RESEARCH TO IDENTIFY UPCOMING RELEVANT TRENDS AND CLIENT NEEDS TO RECRUIT NEW SOUTH AFRICAN CUSTOMERS.">
  4. RUNNING REGULAR COMPETITOR ACTIVATION ACTIVITIES.">
  5. CONSOLIDATING, SHARING INTERNALLY, AND LEVERAGING INSIGHTS IN SALES & MARKETING PLANNING AND IMPLEMENTATION.">

Trade Marketing Materials and Sales Tools

">

You will adapt and provide relevant trade marketing materials and sales tools to sales managers, coordinating the preparation of the weekly/monthly business review with the South African management team.

">

This includes:

  1. ">
  2. CO-BUILDING WITH INDIRECT SALES TEAM THE TRADE MARKETING PLANNING AND BUDGETING. ADAPTING AND PRODUCING TRADE MARKETING MATERIALS.">
  3. DELIVERING REGULAR TRAINING/BRIEFINGS ON PRODUCT CHANGES (NEW RESORTS, RENOVATIONS…), UPCOMING SALES OPERATIONS, ACTIVITIES (MEDIA, COMMUNICATION, PROMOTION…) AND KEY PROJECTS (LOYALTY PROGRAMME, WEBSITE…) TO DIRECT/INDIRECT SALES TEAM AND TRADE PARTNERS.">
  4. UPDATING INDIRECT SALES/CONNECTIVITY TOOL AND MICE WEBSITE TO MAKE SURE IT IS UP TO DATE WITH THE LATEST PRODUCT AND MARKETING INFORMATION.">

Your Profile

We are looking for an experienced Marketing Manager with 5-6 years of experience in digital companies or FMCG, with a strong business acumen and track record demonstrating stability in their role.

  2. EXCELLENT UNDERSTANDING OF PRODUCT AND BRAND COMMUNICATION REQUIREMENTS.">

  4. ANALYTICAL AND PERFORMANCE MINDSET.">
  5. SUPERB PRESENTATION SKILLS.">
  6. COMPLETE UNDERSTANDING OF E-COMMERCE AND DIGITAL MARKETING ACQUISITION CHANNELS.">
  7. GREAT POWER POINT & EXCEL SKILLS.">
