Key Responsibilities:
  1. Lead the C&I department as a technical expert and mentor, overseeing technical responsibility for proposals and contracts.
  2. Ensure that designs and technical solutions are produced efficiently, effectively, and to high standards.
  3. Maintain engineering integrity and compliance with legal and industry requirements, as well as company and client specifications.
  4. Stay informed about departmental projects by conducting regular team meetings and maintaining project dashboards and resource allocation tools.
  5. Act as the primary technical point of contact within the company, with internal stakeholders, and with clients.
  6. Manage C&I department personnel and address day-to-day issues within the department.
  7. Understand the needs of other engineering departments to ensure project execution supports these requirements.
  8. Develop and upskill the department to align with business objectives and strategies.
  9. Manage the department's budget.
Requirements:
  1. Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering with a minimum of 20 years of engineering experience.
  2. Experience in the Oil and Gas/Petrochemical industry is essential.
  3. Experience working with an EPC contractor is necessary.
  4. Strong managerial skills are required for this position.
  5. Professional Engineer registration with the Engineering Council of South Africa (ECSA).
