The ideal candidate for this role will have a strong understanding of basic accounting principles and financial reporting. The Bookkeeper will be responsible for managing financial records and assisting with general office administration. Key responsibilities include:

  1. Manage financial records and maintain general ledgers.
  2. Record day-to-day financial transactions and complete the posting process.
  3. Process accounts payable and accounts receivable.
  4. Manage and reconcile bank and credit card statements.
  5. Manage payroll processing, including calculating employee wages, benefits, and deductions.
  6. Assist in the preparation of financial reports, such as profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.

Additional responsibilities include assisting with budget preparation and forecasting, preparing tax documents, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and company policies. The successful candidate will have a strong organizational and multitasking ability, with excellent problem-solving skills and effective communication skills. Proficiency in accounting software, such as QuickBooks, Xero, or Sage, and Microsoft Office Suite is required. A diploma or degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred. The ideal candidate will have 3 years of proven experience as a bookkeeper or in a similar role.
