Rolling Mill Production Manager

SA Steelworks is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Rolling Mill Production Manager to join our team in Cape Town.
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the Rolling Mill team to achieve set production targets within stipulated standards. Key responsibilities include:
- Minimizing non-productive time
- Analyzing reasons for periods of non-production against metrics
- Communicating operating plans to meet production goals
- Ensuring teams are supported through empowerment and accomplishment
- Managing performance management scheduling
Requirements:
- Matric (Maths compulsory)
- Tertiary education in metallurgical or chemical industry (advantage)
- Strong aptitude for science and mathematics
- Basic knowledge of mechanical and electrical engineering principles and practice
- Computer literacy (Microsoft Office)
- Excellent communication skills (verbal, written, and presentation)
- Minimum 8 years' experience in a production or mechanical environment

Standard hours:
07:00 – 19:00 Dayshift
