About This Role


We are seeking a highly skilled Finance Business Partner to join our team at the Epping Mill in Cape Town. As a key member of our finance team, you will play a critical role in supporting the mill's operations and driving business growth.


Key Responsibilities



  • Provide timely and insightful financial information and analysis to support business decision-making.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with mill operations teams to ensure seamless collaboration and effective communication.
  • Identify and implement opportunities to improve profitability and working capital within the mill.
  • Manage the capital and operating lease processes, including budgeting and financial reporting.
  • Advocate for Lean business practices and drive waste reduction initiatives across the mill.
  • Act as the primary financial point of contact for shared services and receive reporting for mill finance.
  • Provide guidance and support to employees and line managers on company financial policies and procedures.
  • Lead the internal audit and control environment within the facility, ensuring compliance with corporate financial policies and procedures.
  • Implement and maintain up-to-date accounting and reporting systems to ensure accurate and timely financial information.
  • Prepare and review realistic mill forecasts, identifying risks and opportunities for improvement.
  • Manage general ledger reconciliations and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
  • Participate in cost transformation initiatives, analyzing data to identify opportunities for cost reduction and process improvement.
  • Administrative and people management, including frontline management team partnering and safety compliance.

About You


We are looking for a highly qualified and experienced Finance Business Partner who can bring a strong technical skillset and business acumen to this role. You will have a B Com degree (non-negotiable) and CIMA (Strat level) qualification as a Chartered Accountant. You will also have 4-6 years of experience in accounting within a FMCG manufacturing environment.
