As the Head of Earth Observation, you will be responsible for developing and implementing strategic visions for the evolution of Earth Observation technologies and their market applications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Team Leadership: Lead and manage a multidisciplinary team of experts in Earth Observation, providing guidance and support to ensure the team's success.
- Strategic Vision: Develop and implement strategic visions for the evolution of Earth Observation technologies and their market applications, driving innovation and growth.
- Software Development: Oversee software development processes, ensuring efficient and effective software factory practices.
- AI Innovation: Drive innovation in AI applications within the Earth Observation domain, from concept to deployment.
- Intellectual Property: Manage intellectual property portfolios, ensuring proper protection and utilization of innovations.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to align project goals with market needs and opportunities.
Requirements:
- Advanced Degree: Advanced degree in Earth Observation, Geospatial Sciences, Remote Sensing, or related field, or equivalent experience.
- EO Industry Experience: Proven track record in the Earth Observation industry, with hands-on experience and knowledge of the latest advancements.
- Leadership Skills: Demonstrated ability to lead and manage teams, with a clear vision for market evolution and strong leadership skills.
- Software Development Experience: Experience in collaborating with software development units.
- AI Expertise: Expertise in AI technologies applied to Earth Observation.
- Intellectual Property Knowledge: Knowledge and experience in managing intellectual property, including patents and trade secrets.
- Location: Must be based in or willing to relocate to Rome, Italy.
