We are seeking a skilled SHEQ Manager to join our team. As the successful candidate, you will be responsible for managing and recording incidents and complaints regarding injuries, customer complaints, employee complaints, refuse to work complaints, etc. You will also compile and maintain an SHE improvement plan, identify and communicate all material risks, systems, and processes, and maintain a legal register and implement action plans.
About the Job
This is a challenging role that requires strong analytical and problem-solving skills. The successful candidate will have a proven track record in safety and risk management and experience of managing and developing staff.
You will be responsible for ensuring adherence and compliance with SHE guideline requirements and standards, managing risk management processes, and coordinating and conducting site-specific training and induction and SHE training.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and record incidents and complaints regarding injuries, customer complaints, employee complaints, refuse to work complaints, etc.
- Compile and maintain an SHE improvement plan.
- Identify and communicate all material risks, systems, and processes.
- Maintain a legal register and implement action plans.
- Perform internal and external audits and planned task observations to maintain OHSAS 18001 and ISO 14001 accreditation.
- Implement all sustainability initiatives as per schedule.
- Implement and maintain incident management policy.
- Monitor and evaluate SHE officers' monthly reports.
- Compile and submit accurate periodical SHE reports.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree or National Diploma in safety management
- Certificate in OHSAS 18001 EMS ISO 14001
- SAMTRAC
- 8 to 12 years' experience in a safety and risk environment
- More than 3 years in safety and risk management
- Experience of managing and developing staff
