About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Integration Architect to join our team at Liyema Consulting. As an Integration Architect, you will play a key role in designing and developing sustainable integration solutions for our enterprise applications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and Develop Integration Solutions: Develop and implement integration solutions that meet the business requirements of our clients.
  • Maintain Integration Architecture Best Practices: Ensure that integration architecture best practices, standards, and guidelines are maintained and followed.
  • Identify Reusable Assets and Frameworks: Identify reusable assets and frameworks to accelerate integration implementations and improve efficiency.
  • Explore and Adopt New Technologies: Continuously explore and adopt new technologies in the integration space to stay ahead of the curve.
  • Identify Opportunities for Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvement and automation to enhance the integration process.
  • Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams: Collaborate with architects, developers, analysts, and project managers to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Lead Workshops and Forums: Lead workshops and forums related to integration architecture to share knowledge and best practices.
  • Ensure Compliance: Ensure compliance with regulatory and security standards.
  • Provide Technical Leadership: Provide technical leadership and mentorship to the integration team.
  • Support Business Case Development: Support business case development, budgeting, and risk management within the integration domain.
Requirements
  • Expertise in Integration Patterns: Expertise in integration patterns, technologies, and message formats.
  • Understanding of Microservices Architecture: Solid understanding of microservices architecture and cloud-based solutions.
  • API Design and Security: Strong experience with API design, security, and governance.
  • Enterprise Service Buses and Messaging Systems: Knowledge of enterprise service buses, asynchronous messaging systems, and event-driven architectures.
  • Process Automation and RPA: Basic knowledge of Process Automation and RPA.
  • Programming Languages and Container Platforms: Familiarity with Java, Microsoft technologies, and container platforms like Kubernetes.
  • DevOps and CI/CD Pipelines: DevOps and CI/CD pipeline experience.
  • Security Technologies: Deep understanding of security technologies such as OAuth, SAML, and SCIM.
  • Leadership and Collaboration Skills: Proven leadership and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Education and Experience
  • Education: Matric Certificate or Degree or Diploma in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related fields.
  • Experience: Minimum 7 years of experience in designing and developing enterprise integration solutions.
  • Integration Platforms: Experience with integration platforms like MuleSoft, Oracle OIC, WSO2, and more.
  • Programming Languages and Databases: Proficient in XML, JSON, and related schemas, and skilled in Java, Microsoft technologies, and database systems like SQL Server, MySQL.
  • Containers and DevOps Tools: Experience with containers (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) and DevOps tools like Jenkins, Azure DevOps.
  • Fintech and Digital Distribution: Background in Fintech, digital distribution, or financial services is advantageous.
