Job Description:

">

As a Procurement Manager, you will be responsible for qualifying vendors, onboarding, evaluating bids, and negotiating prices and terms for purchased goods and services. You will track purchases, monitor vendor quality, and maintain a current database of vendor information on SAP.

Roles and Responsibilities:

">
  • ">
  • Process purchasing requisitions into Purchase orders as requested on SAP.">
  • Evaluate Supplier and service providers in terms of supply requirements and manage the supplier performance.">
  • Maintain close relationships with key suppliers; align in meetings and have records in emails.">
  • Prepare a comparative chart for all large purchases and share with department head.">
  • Informing the respective departments of lead time, price offered, approval of supplier.">
  • Investigating any deviations where such has occurred due to price, legislation, procedures, and rules.">
  • Follow-up or expedite orders as necessary to meet production schedules.">
  • Drive the cost-saving initiative and ensure that goods are always bought at a reasonable price.">
  • In charge of the vendor loading process on SAP.">
  • Inform management of any challenge in supply chain that can impact the flow of supply chain to the business.">
  • Ensure that the BBBEE administration is done, and certificates are up to date on a quarterly basis.">
  • Ensure compliance to the BBBEE strategy and framework in the procurement process.">
  • Sourcing of suitable supplier to fulfil the demands of internal customers.">
  • Input supplier master data on SAP and update regularly as required.">

Required Skills and Qualifications:

You must have specialized knowledge and training in dealing with Suppliers & Service providers, supply chain processes on SAP, and supplier sourcing. You should also possess intermediate to advanced MS Excel skills.

Experience:

">

You require at least 4 years practical workplace experience in SAP, specifically the SAP MM modules (Material movement + purchasing module). You should also have experience in purchasing and logistics in steel manufacturing and/or engineering industries, as well as dealing with Suppliers & Service providers and clearing and forwarding agents.
