Role Description

We are looking for a skilled Revit Technician to join our team at The Legends Agency in Johannesburg. As a Revit Technician, you will be responsible for developing detailed 2D and 3D models in Revit for architectural engineering or construction projects. You will collaborate with our team to integrate digital fabrication processes, including CNC machining using our in-house 7-axis CNC machine.

Key Responsibilities :
  • Develop detailed 2D and 3D models in Revit for architectural engineering or construction projects.
  • Collaborate with the team to integrate digital fabrication processes, including CNC machining using our in-house 7-axis CNC machine.
  • Prepare and review shop drawings for CNC fabrication, ensuring accuracy and precision.
  • Liaise with clients, contractors, and internal teams to ensure project deliverables meet all technical specifications.
  • Assist in coordinating and solving design challenges using Revit and Grasshopper workflows.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends in digital fabrication and parametric design.

Requirements :
  • At least 5 years of experience in a relevant design field.
  • Proven experience working with Revit in an architecture, construction, or engineering environment.
  • Familiarity with Grasshopper for parametric modeling and generating complex geometries is a bonus.
  • Proficiency with Revit for creating detailed architectural or engineering drawings and models.
  • Familiarity with CNC machining processes, including preparing files for CNC fabrication, is not essential but willingness to learn is required.
  • Strong understanding of digital fabrication methods, including materials, tools, and machinery used in CNC.
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings, schematics, and CAD files.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a team.
  • A high level of attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills.
