Job Title: Waste Management Administrator

SKG Properties is seeking a highly skilled Waste Management Administrator to join our team. As a key member of our Facilities Management team, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and effective management of waste and refuse across our properties.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage municipal billing and ensure accurate waste collection costs
  • Verify municipal utility accounts and work with Facilities Management to contract correct number and type of municipal bins
  • Reduce waste and refuse costs by working with municipalities and Facilities Management
  • Audit and verify waste billing information and perform variance analysis
  • Partner with Facilities Management to investigate recycling options and reduce contract prices
  • Ensure waste collection schedules are followed and bins are placed outside timeously for collection
  • Log calls with council if bins are not cleared and work with Facilities Management to maintain clean waste areas
Requirements:
  • Knowledge of municipal processes, tariffs, and waste handling
  • Ability to work under pressure and multitask, sometimes after hours
  • Strong organizational skills with ability to prioritize work to meet deadlines
  • Basic computer skills with ability to learn new software programs
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to make decisions in accordance with laws, regulations, and established procedures
