About the Role

We are seeking an exceptional RF & Microwave Systems Engineer to join our Pro Tem team.

As a senior member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing and implementing complex RF & Microwave subsystems. Your expertise in system engineering, design methodologies, and configuration management will be invaluable in driving project success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement high-performance RF & Microwave systems, including power amplifiers, low phase noise synthesizers, up converters, and low noise receivers.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop system-level designs and ensure seamless integration.
  • Contribute to the industrialization of prototype designs, ensuring efficient production processes.
  • Provide technical expertise to support system engineers and drive project progress.
  • Pursue cutting-edge technologies and identify innovative solutions to improve product performance.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation, including specifications, design data packs, and test procedures.
  • Mentor junior engineers and provide guidance on best practices and industry standards.
  • Engage in the proposal/quotation generation process to ensure accurate technical representation.
  • Initiate and participate in establishing critical technologies within the company.

Qualifications and Skills Requirements:

  • A minimum of a three-year degree in RF Engineering or a related field, with honors or a four-year degree preferred.
  • Post-graduate degree in engineering (MSc/MEng/PhD) is highly valued.
  • No less than 10 years of experience in RF & Microwave engineering, with relevant exposure to design and implementation, system engineering aspects, and quality assurance.
  • Antenna design experience is advantageous.
  • Strong analytical design approach and excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with schematic capture and PCB layout tools (Altium Designer preferred).
  • Familiarity with software such as Microwave Office, CST, LT Spice, Matlab/Python, DOORS, and test equipment (e.g., oscilloscope, spectrum analyzer, vector network analyzer, power meter, noise figure meter, phase noise meter).

Estimated Salary Range: $120,000 - $180,000 per year, depending on location and experience. This estimate is based on national averages and may vary depending on factors such as cost of living, industry standards, and specific company requirements.
