ABC Worldwide is one of the leading destination specialists for Southern Africa. Our company creates tailor-made itineraries for FIT, Group and MICE Travellers.

Job Purpose

To successfully quote profitable tour products for existing as well as new clients by analyzing market trends and developing effective sales strategies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Secure business and effectively cost products to meet customer demands and maximize profitability.
  • Understand the market and margin control to ensure accurate pricing and revenue growth.
  • Build up and maintain agent and supplier relationships to secure better rates and services.
  • Develop own sales strategy to secure more business through existing and new agents by leveraging industry connections and expertise.
  • Work closely with the team to achieve goals and objectives, ensuring seamless collaboration and communication.
Operations
  • Quote and design successful creative itineraries and proposals for all market related ADHOC groups, Tour Series and FIT requests, incorporating local knowledge and insights.
  • Capture and confirm bookings in Tourplan, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
  • Negotiate with suppliers for better rates, cancellation policies and FOC's to optimize costs and improve customer satisfaction.
  • Find new suppliers that offer a good service and better rates to enhance product offerings and competitiveness.
  • Follow up on quotes that have been sent out to ensure timely responses and conversions.
  • Successfully run groups, tour series, and FIT booking, managing logistics and operational details.
  • Compile welcome pack documents and create co-pilots according to itineraries, providing essential information for travelers.
  • Handle the 24-hour emergency phone, ensuring prompt assistance and support for customers.
  • Prepare guide documentation and brief guide before travel date, ensuring thorough preparation and briefing.
  • Work closely with tour guides whilst on tour, monitoring progress and providing guidance as needed.
  • Instruct debtors to raise invoice, ensuring timely payment and cash flow management.
  • Reconcile supplier invoices for processing, verifying accuracy and legitimacy.
  • Assist debtors' clerk with invoicing/collection queries, resolving issues and improving customer satisfaction.
  • Reconcile tour guide expense sheets on completion of tours and check guide salary invoices, ensuring accuracy and fairness.
Additional Responsibilities
  • Participate in supplier training and workshops, enhancing industry knowledge and skills.
  • Reduce the transaction turnaround time, streamlining processes and improving efficiency.
  • Demonstrate good communication skills and customer care, building strong relationships and loyalty.
  • Stay current on events and changes of suppliers and product, adapting to evolving market conditions.
  • Travel on educational and familiarization trips, gaining firsthand experience and insights.
