Intermediate Business Analyst

Purpose of the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Intermediate Business Analyst to join our team at JenRec Recruitment. As an Intermediate Business Analyst, you will be responsible for gathering and documenting business requirements, creating Business Requirement Documents (BRDs), and performing analyses to drive development and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Capture and Document Business Needs: You will work closely with stakeholders to capture and document business needs, ensuring that requirements are accurate and complete.
  • Conduct In-Depth Analyses: You will conduct in-depth analyses to identify business opportunities and develop solutions to drive operational excellence.
  • Collaborate with Stakeholders: You will collaborate with stakeholders to validate requirements, ensure that solutions meet quality standards, and communicate requirements and secure approvals.
  • Maintain Accurate Documentation: You will maintain accurate documentation of business requirements, solutions, and testing results.
  • Propose and Design Solutions: You will propose and design solutions to meet business needs, ensuring that solutions are feasible, effective, and efficient.
  • Communicate Requirements and Secure Approvals: You will communicate requirements and secure approvals from stakeholders, ensuring that solutions are implemented on time and within budget.

Key Performance Areas:

  • Engage Stakeholders and Estimate Analysis Efforts: You will engage stakeholders to estimate analysis efforts, ensuring that requirements are accurate and complete.
  • Align, Document, and Analyze Requirements: You will align, document, and analyze requirements to ensure that solutions meet quality standards.
  • Ensure Requirements Meet Quality Standards: You will ensure that requirements meet quality standards, ensuring that solutions are effective and efficient.
  • Validate Solutions and Assist with Testing: You will validate solutions and assist with testing to ensure that solutions are implemented correctly.
  • Interface between Business and Tech Teams: You will interface between business and tech teams to resolve production issues, ensuring that solutions are implemented on time and within budget.

Qualifications:

  • 3-Year Tertiary Qualification: You must have a 3-year tertiary qualification in a relevant field, such as Business Analysis or a related field.
  • 3-5 Years of Experience: You must have 3-5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in financial services, contact centers, or debt collection.

Competencies:

  • Expertise in Business Analysis: You must have expertise in business analysis, including SQL, Jira, and Power BI.
  • Experience with Scrum: You must have experience with Scrum, including Agile methodologies.
  • Strong Problem-Solving Skills: You must have strong problem-solving skills, including detail-oriented, proactive, and innovative.
