We are seeking a seasoned Scrum Master to lead Agile project initiatives within our Custom Development environment. As Agile Project Specialist, you will be responsible for overseeing the delivery of multiple Agile projects from start to finish, ensuring consistent and predictable outcomes.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  1. Work closely with cross-functional teams, including development teams, product owners, and delivery team managers, to identify process flaws and develop a prioritized Agile improvement roadmap.
  2. Communicate effectively with stakeholders, ensuring seamless information flow regarding changes in scope, delays, and other issues.
  3. Facilitate daily, weekly, and monthly Agile ceremonies, maintaining efficiency and adherence to Agile principles.
  4. Participate in daily stand-ups, providing feedback to delivery teams and ensuring alignment with agreed-upon sprint goals.
  5. Drive improvements generated by Agile retrospectives and educate teams on utilizing Agile management tools effectively.
  6. Provide regular updates on Agile process to the wider organization.
  7. Facilitate communication across delivery teams to resolve dependencies and impediments.
  8. Collaborate with the Product Owner to protect current sprint commitments and refine the backlog.
  9. Enforce the definition of ready for work entering the development team and educate external parties on the process for submitting development work requests.
  10. Continuously learn and educate the development team and fellow Scrum Masters on Agile methodologies and practices.
  11. Coach and mentor delivery teams to increase Agile maturity across the organization.
  12. Contribute actively to the Scrum Master Community of Practice.
  13. Assume responsibility for some Business Analysis aspects, including:
  14. Studying business needs and eliciting requirements.
  15. Documenting requirements into a product backlog with clear acceptance criteria and business rules.
  16. Ensuring requirements are delivered on time and of high quality.
  17. Preparing Release Notes.
  18. Post-Go-Live Reporting.
  19. Developing and maintaining User Guides.

Your Expertise:

  • 7+ years of experience.
  • Certified Scrum Master (PSM or CSM) preferred.
  • Solid understanding of Scrum principles and proven experience in Product-Driven and Custom Development environments.
  • At least 5 years of experience as an Agile Project Manager or Scrum Master within an Agile environment.
  • Ability to understand technical issues at a high level.
  • Ability to coach multiple teams to reach their highest potential and deadlines.
  • Proven ability to work independently, drive decisions collaboratively, and have high attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of and exposure to other software development methodologies and project management frameworks.

Qualifications:

  • Matric.
  • Relevant IT/Scrum Master qualification.
