We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Accountant to be part of our team at Profession Hub.

Key Responsibilities

  • Financial Transactions Management: Ensure timely, accurate, and complete processing of financial transactions, maintaining the integrity of our financial records.
  • Intercompany Accounts and Reconciliations: Resolve discrepancies in transactions between sites, ensure timely payment of intercompany creditors' accounts, and maintain accurate records.
  • VAT Submissions and Analysis: Prepare, analyze, and document monthly VAT submissions, schedules, and queries, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Management Accounts and Budgeting: Produce monthly management accounts, supporting schedules, and variance analysis for budget vs actual expenditure, providing insights for informed decision-making.
  • Statutory Reports and Compliance: Assist in the completion of quarterly and annual statutory reports, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and maintaining accurate records.
  • Financial Policies and Procedures: Implement, maintain, and enforce adherence to financial policies and procedures, ensuring effective financial management.
  • Tax and VAT Compliance: Ensure accurate and timely completion of tax packs, audit packs, and reconciliations, maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Financial Analysis and Reporting: Provide regular financial analysis and reporting, highlighting key trends, challenges, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Cost Centre Reporting and Analysis: Conduct cost centre reporting, analysis, and cost management, ensuring optimal resource allocation and financial performance.
  • Internal Controls and Audit: Implement and maintain effective internal controls, ensuring the accuracy and reliability of financial information, and supporting audit processes.
  • Financial Records and Reporting: Maintain accurate and compliant financial records, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting, and supporting business decision-making.
  • INFOR Integration and Management: Manage INFOR integration, setup, and maintenance, ensuring seamless financial data flow and accurate financial reporting.
  • Month-End Close and Procedures: Ensure efficient month-end close processes, maintaining accurate financial records and supporting business decision-making.
  • Financial Policies and Procedures: Develop, implement, and maintain financial policies and procedures, ensuring effective financial management and compliance with regulatory requirements.

Requirements

  • Education: BCom/BCom Honours in Accounting/Finance.
  • Experience: Minimum 4-10 years of experience in a related field.

Skills and Qualities:

  • Proficient in MS Office: Excel skills essential.
  • Accounting Knowledge: Practical hands-on accounting knowledge required.
  • INFOR and Finnivo Knowledge: Knowledge of INFOR and Finnivo an advantage.
  • VAT Knowledge: Excellent VAT knowledge essential.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills across all levels.
  • Attention to Detail: Attention to detail and accuracy vital.
  • Process-Driven Mindset: Process-driven mindset required.
