We are seeking a highly skilled Taxation Compliance Specialist to join our team at Iris Software. This is an exciting opportunity for a professional with a passion for taxation and compliance.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in tax law and experience in managing tax compliance processes. They will be responsible for ensuring that all tax obligations are met, and that our financial records are accurate and up-to-date.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and submit income tax returns, including supporting schedules and workings
  • Check tax assessments and follow up on any tax-related issues
  • Liaise with SARS and other stakeholders regarding tax matters
  • Draft letters and objections to SARS, as well as query responses
  • Assist with VAT and PAYE processes, including calculations and submissions
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant tax laws and regulations

Requirements

  • CA(SA)/Bcom(Acc) or similar qualification with a post-degree qualification in tax
  • Accreditation with a relevant professional body, such as SAICA or SAIT
  • Practical working experience in a tax compliance department
  • Strong knowledge of tax law and regulatory requirements
  • Excellent communication and analytical skills
