About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for performing daily and routine surveillance, analyzing data, and providing education on principles of infection prevention and control. They will also participate in case-control studies and contribute to the development and maintenance of departmental databases.

  • Utilize epidemiologic tools to identify and report problems or clusters of infections or colonization related to routine surveillance.
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of departmental databases which support the system of focused surveillance.
  • Participate in Environmental Rounds identifying areas for improvement and making recommendations to staff and leaders.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must have either current or past RN licensure and registration, or a Bachelor's degree in Microbiology. You should also have two years of nursing experience in a hospital setting.
