About This Role

This position involves contributing to the delivery of specialist software solutions and support to SYSPRO Proprietary Limited by developing and maintaining COBOL and .NET applications, APIs, and web applications in the organization along with other specialist team members.

Responsibilities

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Senior Certificate with Core Maths or NQF 4 equivalent.
  • A tertiary degree or recognized IT qualification at NQF level 7 or higher.
  • 5 – 6 years of system development experience at a senior level.
  • Experience in developing ASP.NET MVC 4 Web applications.
  • Experience in developing Windows Azure and Web Services.
  • Proficiency in programming in HTML5 with JavaScript and CSS3.
  • Full-stack development experience.
  • Proficiency in programming in C#.
  • Proficiency in programming in COBOL.
  • Proficiency in programming in .NET CORE 3.1 and above.
  • Practical knowledge of different development patterns (i.e., Repository, Unit of Work, SOLID).

You will also require strong business acumen, leadership and project management skills, problem-solving ability, strong reporting ability, written, verbal, analytical, and interpersonal skills, presentation and facilitation skills, excellent communication skills, and strong technical skills.
