Job Title: Artisan - Die Maker

At Oxyon People Solutions, we are seeking a skilled and experienced Artisan - Die Maker to join our team. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for creating high-quality dies and components for our manufacturing processes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex problems related to die manufacturing and component production.
  • Respond to emergency call-outs and ensure timely completion of tasks.
  • Grind components and tapered surfaces to precise specifications.
  • Manufacture components from drawings and blueprints, ensuring accuracy and quality.
  • Read and interpret charts, drawings, and blueprints to determine product specifications.
  • Determine product specifications, including dimensions and tolerances.
  • Follow standard work instructions (SWI) for equipment operation and maintenance.
  • Lift or hoist work pieces, ensuring safe and efficient handling.
  • Utilize precision measuring tools, including micro meters, calipers, and Verniers.
  • Weld and repair chipped or broken plates, ensuring quality and safety.
  • Plan daily activities to improve die output and minimize waiting periods for die builders.
  • Develop and mark off profiles from drawings, ensuring 100% accuracy.
  • Mount profiles on dies and cut to size, ensuring precision and quality.
  • Mark off cut drill charger plates and weld deck plates, ensuring accuracy and safety.
Requirements and Qualifications:
  • Grade 12 / Matric qualification.
  • Qualified Die Maker / N3 essential.
