Job Summary:

Oxyon People Solutions is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Die Maker to join our team. As a Die Maker, you will be responsible for creating and maintaining precision tools and dies for various manufacturing processes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Troubleshooting and Problem-Solving: Identify and resolve issues with tooling and manufacturing processes to minimize downtime and optimize production.
• Emergency Response: Respond promptly to emergency call-outs to ensure timely resolution of critical issues.
• Tooling and Die Maintenance: Grind and maintain precision tools and dies to ensure optimal performance and extend their lifespan.
• Manufacturing and Production: Create and manufacture components from drawings and specifications to build dies or make changes to existing parts.
• Quality Control: Inspect work pieces to ensure they meet quality standards and identify defective pieces.
• Equipment Operation and Maintenance: Operate and maintain various equipment, including presses, grinders, and hand tools, to ensure they are in safe and working order.
• Communication and Teamwork: Collaborate with team members to share knowledge, best practices, and ideas to improve manufacturing processes and optimize production.
• Continuous Improvement: Identify areas for improvement and implement changes to increase efficiency, productivity, and quality.

Requirements and Qualifications:

• Education: Grade 12 / Matric certificate
• Qualifications: Qualified Die Maker / N3 essential

  • Problem-Solving and Troubleshooting: Ability to identify and resolve complex problems
  • Communication and Teamwork: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with ability to work effectively in a team
  • Planning and Organization: Ability to plan and organize tasks to meet deadlines and optimize production
  • Initiative and Self-Starting: Ability to work independently and take initiative to improve processes and optimize production
  • Attention to Detail: High level of attention to detail to ensure quality and accuracy
  • Leadership and Conflict Resolution: Ability to lead and manage teams, with strong conflict resolution skills
