Job Title: Intermediate Test Analyst

We are seeking a skilled Intermediate Test Analyst to join our team at Deka Minas (Pty) Ltd. As a key member of our quality assurance team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the reliability and quality of our modernized software systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement test plans, test cases, and test scripts for Java-based applications.
  • Execute functional, regression, and performance testing to ensure software applications meet established quality standards.
  • Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and project managers to understand requirements and provide testing estimates.
  • Identify, document, and track software defects to ensure timely resolution.
  • Participate in the development and execution of automated test scripts to improve testing efficiency.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement efforts within the testing team to enhance overall quality and reliability.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Test Analyst, with a focus on Java-based applications.
  • Experience in the banking domain is highly desirable.
  • Strong understanding of software development and testing methodologies.
  • Proficiency with testing tools and frameworks.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Preferred Skills:
  • Experience with automated testing tools.
  • Knowledge of SQL and database testing.
  • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
  • ISTQB certification or equivalent is a plus.
