Job Purpose

The purpose of this role is to control and optimize inventory levels, forecast future customer demand, and ensure that Sandvik Mining and Rock Solutions meets sales and production targets while minimizing costs and inefficiencies.

Main Responsibilities

  1. Collect and analyze forecast data from areas of responsibility to ensure timely decision-making.
  2. Perform gap/trend analysis and recommend process improvements to enhance supply chain efficiency.
  3. Collaborate with regions and key stakeholders to communicate forecasting and inventory management data.
  4. Provide feedback and recommendations to regions to ensure orders are created according to forecasts.
  5. Support internal departments to improve inventory management and optimize stock levels.
  6. Maintain inventory parameters in collaboration with Regional Inventory Managers for all designated stockrooms.
  7. Perform replenishment planning for designated stockrooms to ensure optimal inventory levels.
  8. Release orders according to system requisitions and customer orders.
  9. Manage expediting requests from regions to meet urgent customer demands.
  10. Analyze inventory data to identify opportunities for optimization and reduce stock levels.
  11. Develop short- and long-term inventory strategies in collaboration with relevant stakeholders.
  12. Provide backup support for team members when required and contribute to a collaborative work environment.
  13. Responsible for stock, goods in transit, production stock, and obsolescence reserve in the stockrooms of responsibility.
  14. Ensure coordination with stakeholders regarding improvement activities related to inventory control.
  15. Drive stock optimization initiatives (i.e., returns process) on a regular basis.
  16. Participate in regional/global initiatives or projects as needed.
