About the Position

Cape Peninsula University of Technology is seeking a highly skilled and experienced academic professional to fill the position of Senior Lecturer in the Department of Clothing and Textile Technology. The successful candidate will be responsible for lecturing in various subjects, co-ordinating programmes and contributing to academic initiatives.

Responsibilities
  • Lecture in Applied Textiles Science 3 (theory and practical), Applied Textiles Science 2 (theory and practical), Product Performance and Control in Textiles and Clothing (for Advanced Diploma), Smart and Technical Textiles (for Post-graduate diploma).
  • Supervise and mentor both undergraduate, honours and post-graduate students.
Qualifications and Experience
  • A doctoral qualification in Textile Science, Textile Technology or Textile Engineering.
  • A minimum of 4 years relevant experience in Clothing and Textile Technology of which two years were in higher education.
  • Record of publications in peer-reviewed journals.
