Job Description

Resourcery SA is a professional service provider based in Cape Town, offering a wide range of services to clients worldwide, including finance, marketing, analytics, operations, legal, and more.

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Business Operations Director to support the daily operational needs of our client, an investment company with various businesses in Hospitality and Food & Beverage.


As a Business Operations Director, you will drive essential operational support to management and ensure smooth operations across our portfolio companies. Your focus will be on providing operative and administrative support to ensure all systems operate smoothly and align with our quality standards.


Key Responsibilities

  • Supporting managers across various companies in day-to-day administrative tasks such as scheduling, reporting, and maintaining operational records.
  • Providing back-office support for the portfolio companies, facilitating smooth operations while ensuring compliance with internal processes.
  • Ensuring all systems operate smoothly and align with our quality standards while maximising the efficiency of all business procedures.
  • Supporting the research and implementation of relevant compliance standards, for example, for health and safety standards.
  • Managing company secretarial work, including statutory filings and administrative duties.
  • Handling People Operations, including immigration requirements and employee mobility.
  • Assisting with reporting and documentation for senior management.
  • Working with off-the-shelf systems to manage business operations and ensure efficient workflow.

Requirements

Qualifications and Skills

As an ideal candidate, you must have the following:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in operations, administration, or a related field, with a passion for problem-solving and a resourceful approach.
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for coordinating between various teams.
  • A good understanding of financial terminology and business language.
  • Experience with company secretarial work, statutory filings, and administrative compliance.
  • Financial knowledge and proficiency in business language to support operational tasks.
  • Comfort with off-the-shelf systems and tools to manage business processes.
  • Proficiency in English.
