Available Teaching Hours (South African Standard Time):

  • Monday to Friday: 06:00-14:00
  • Monday to Friday: 12:00-20:00
  • Monday to Friday: 16:00-00:00
  • Saturday & Sunday: 06:00-14:00
  • Saturday & Sunday: 12:00-20:00
  • Saturday & Sunday: 16:00-00:00

Important Information:

  • Classes are scheduled two weeks in advance within your selected time slot.
  • There is an opportunity to take on additional classes outside of your regular schedule when available.
  • All teaching materials will be provided.
  • All students are adults.
  • Successful candidates will be required to participate in a one-day online training session and conduct a brief demonstration lesson for our quality assurance and training team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate English lessons using a well-structured curriculum and teaching methods.
  • Motivate and engage students positively throughout the learning experience.
  • Oversee classroom dynamics and provide constructive feedback on students' language skills.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent is mandatory.
  • A 120-hour TEFL/TESOL certification is essential.
  • Proficient command of the English language (neutral accent).
  • Competent in computer usage and troubleshooting.

Technical Specifications:

Computer Requirements:

  • Processor: Intel CoreTM i5 CPU @2.40GHz (4 CPUs) or higher.
  • Memory: Minimum of 8GB RAM.

Backup Power:

  • Uninterrupted Power Supply (UPS) with a battery life of 4-5 hours (or willingness to acquire one prior to starting teaching) is mandatory.
  • A separate mini power supply system for your fiber router is required.

Internet Connection:

  • A reliable FIBRE internet connection with at least 25 mbps upload and download speeds.
  • PC must be connected via a LAN cable, not through Wi-Fi.
  • PLEASE NOTE: Wi-Fi, 5G, or LTE connections are not accepted.

Additional Requirements:

  • Noise-cancelling headphones.
  • HD webcam.
  • A backup headset is highly recommended.
  • A clean, well-lit, and quiet teaching environment is essential.
