About the Role

The successful candidate will possess excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team of maintenance professionals. They will also have a strong understanding of maintenance practices, procedures, and processes, as well as compliance with relevant legislation, safety standards, and related manufacturing regulations.

Responsibilities
  • Maintenance Coordination: Coordinate and schedule maintenance activities to minimize downtime and optimize production.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine checks on equipment to identify potential issues and prevent failures.
  • Training and Development: Provide training and development opportunities to maintenance personnel to enhance their skills and knowledge.
  • Health and Safety: Ensure that all maintenance activities are conducted in a safe and controlled environment, adhering to company health and safety policies.
Requirements
  • Certificate in technical discipline or maintenance-related fields (NQF 5)
  • Trade test (NQF 5)
  • Certificate in first-line management (FLMP) (NQF 5)
  • Up to 5 years of experience in maintenance operations within a manufacturing environment, including 1-2 years at a supervisory level and up to 3 years working shifts.
