Senior Accountant Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Accountant to join our reputable client within the manufacturing industry. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a dynamic team in a fast-paced environment.

Job Description

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the full accounting function, possess excellent financial management skills, and demonstrate an ability to work independently and as part of a team. Key responsibilities include:

  • Oversee and manage the full accounting function for the business, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
  • Prepare monthly management accounts, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
  • Assist with the preparation of annual budgets, forecasts, and financial planning.
  • Perform monthly reconciliations of all accounts, ensuring that discrepancies are identified and rectified promptly.
  • Handle VAT and tax compliance, including preparation and submission of tax returns.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • A minimum of 4 to 5 years of relevant experience.
  • A BCom Accounting Degree.
  • SAICA/SAIPA articles is beneficial.
  • Knowledge of the manufacturing industry is preferred.
Salary and Benefits

The salary for this position is estimated to be around R1,200,000 per annum, commensurate with experience. In addition to a competitive salary, you can expect a range of benefits, including opportunities for professional development and growth within the company.
