Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Chief Financial Strategist to join our team at Network Recruitment. This is a unique opportunity for a seasoned financial professional to lead our finance operations and drive business growth.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the entire financial function, including management accounts, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting
  • Manage and maintain the general ledger, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant regulations
  • Analyze financial statements and reports for internal and external stakeholders, providing actionable insights to inform business decisions
  • Lead the preparation of VAT returns, tax submissions, and regulatory reporting, ensuring timely and accurate submissions
  • Support costing, budgeting, and financial planning processes, collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive business growth
  • Implement and monitor internal controls to safeguard company assets, maintaining a culture of risk awareness and accountability
  • Supervise, mentor, and manage a team of finance professionals, fostering a collaborative and high-performing work environment
Requirements:
  • BCom Honours or CA(SA) qualification, demonstrating a strong foundation in finance and accounting
  • 5 years post-articles experience in a similar role, ideally within a manufacturing, automotive, or related industry, showcasing expertise in financial systems and tools
  • Strong proficiency in financial systems (e.g., Syspro) and tools such as Power BI, driving data-driven decision-making
  • Proven experience in VAT returns, BOM calculations, and month-end processes, ensuring accuracy and compliance
  • Excellent analytical skills, with a detail-oriented mindset, to identify areas for improvement and implement changes
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to lead and develop a team, driving collaboration and results
