About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled Payroll Specialist to join our team at Profinsa (Pty) Ltd. As a key member of our Human Resources department, you will be responsible for providing expert payroll administration services to our clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process client payroll on a monthly/ bi-weekly/ weekly basis using SAGE VIP
- Maintain accurate payroll processing systems and records by gathering, calculating, and inputting data from clients and management
- Assist clients with administrative matters related to payroll, including monthly submissions and employee expenses
- Liaise with clients to ensure accurate information for payment
- Compute employee take-home pay based on time records, benefits, and taxes
- Complete payroll reports for record-keeping purposes and managerial review
- Distribute salaries and wages to employees' bank accounts and provide payslips
- Determine tax obligations by calculating taxes, statutory deductions, union payments, and third-party payments
- Maintain employee confidentiality and protect payroll operations
- Perform all payroll accounting activities and reconciliations
Requirements:
- HR or Payroll Diploma/ 5 years' experience in HR/Payroll function
- Intermediate to Advanced Excel skills
- Min 1 year SAGE VIP experience with processing and full payroll function
- Full understanding of BCEA and Labour Legislation
- Ability to think logically and perform duties within tight deadlines
