We are seeking a qualified Tax Analyst to manage tax operations for South Africa and Botswana. This role involves ensuring compliance with local and international tax regulations, preparing tax returns, and resolving audit issues.
Key Responsibilities
This position will require you to:
- Ensure adherence to local and international tax regulations.
- Prepare and submit tax returns on time.
- Manage tax audits and resolve issues.
- Monitor changes in tax legislation.
- Support the Group Tax team on business decisions.
- Conduct tax efficiency analysis.
- Evaluate transfer pricing policies.
- Prepare and maintain transfer pricing documentation.
- Prepare tax-related reports for senior management.
- Maintain accurate records for tax filings and audits.
- Liaise with external tax consultants.
- Collaborate with other departments.
- Share knowledge on tax issues.
Requirements
To succeed in this role, you will need a degree in Taxation, Accounting, or a related field, combined with 3-5 years of experience in tax-related roles. Post-graduate qualifications in tax and experience in the oil & gas industry would be advantageous. You should possess strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, as well as excellent communication skills.
