Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled Material Planner to join our team at On Line Personnel.

**Job Summary:**

As a Material Planner, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth flow of materials and supplies to meet production demands.

**Key Responsibilities:**

* Develop and maintain accurate long-horizon forecasts to extend to all suppliers
* Analyze customer demand and forecast to optimize inventory levels
* Collaborate with Production Planners to understand production scheduling and plan accordingly
* Micro-manage expediting of raw materials from local and international suppliers
* Ensure timely delivery of raw materials for production
* Maintain inventory at an optimal level
* Improve utilization of planned trucks with Freight Forwarders and transporters
* Allocate parts between plants as needed
* Send weekly purchase orders to suppliers
* Minimize obsolescence

**Requirements:**

* Bachelor's degree in a relevant field
* Experience in materials planning, logistics, and/or supply chain
* Excellent computer skills and knowledge of MRP, MS Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
* Understanding of the Automotive and Commercial Vehicle industry preferred
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to work flexible hours
