Job Description

At Level-Up, we are seeking a highly skilled Waste Management Administrator to join our team. This role is responsible for assisting with various aspects of waste management within municipalities and Facilities Management.

Main Responsibilities
  • Municipal Billing Verification: Ensure municipal billing is accurate and in line with the number and type of refuse bins on site.
  • Waste Management Coordination: Work with Facilities Management to contract the correct number and type of municipal bins, reducing the number and type of bins to the least possible.
  • Audit and Verification: Audit and verify all waste billing information on municipal utility invoices with monthly Facilities Management reports regarding actual collection of bins.
  • Variance Analysis: Perform variance analysis for all buildings managed in-house and those by the outsourced waste management service provider.
  • Recycling Options: Partner with Facilities Management to investigate recycling options to bring contract prices down due to possible rebates from recyclers.
Reporting and Utility Management
  • Performance Reports: Maintain performance reports and other waste/refuse management standardised building reports for all buildings, including number of bins per building, billing information, and savings.
  • Utility Management: Manage the relationship between Company/Municipalities, perform on-site meter readings, data entry/capturing of meter readings, tenant account reconciliation, and reviewing billing methodologies.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Municipal Processes: Knowledge and understanding of municipal processes, tariffs, and waste handling.
  • Organisational Skills: Demonstrated strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise work to meet deadlines.
  • Computer Skills: Possess basic computer skills with the capacity to promptly learn new software programs relevant to the organisation, including Microsoft Office suite.
  • Communication: Ability to interpret and relay instructions, transfer information accurately in writing, and establish effective working relationships with employees and municipalities.
Estimated Salary: $60,000 - $80,000 per annum
