Boilermaker Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Boilermaker to join our team at Select Motor Recruitment. The successful candidate will be responsible for assembling, installing, and repairing heavy commercial machinery and vehicles.

• Read and interpret technical drawings and sketches to establish required dimensions for materials and assembled products.
• Mark and cut materials using various cutting tools and machines, including oxy-acetylene cutting torches and plasma torches.
• Develop, mark out, bend, and roll materials using parallel lines, radial lines, triangulation, and spiral developments.
• Prepare materials for assembling by rolling, bending, chamfering, drilling, and punching.
• Assemble prepared metal components by manual arc welding and bolting.
• Fabricate, repair, and maintain yellow metal and commercial equipment, vehicles, and machinery.
• Use a range of hand tools, portable power tools, pneumatic tools, and pipe and plate bending machines.
• Properly and safely use lifting machinery and equipment, including overhead cranes, chain blocks, and slings.

• Grade 12 or equivalent qualification.
• Red Seal Boilermaker certification.
• Experience in the yellow metal industry.
• Motor industry experience is essential.
