Boilermaker Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Boilermaker to join our team at Select Motor Recruitment. The ideal candidate will have experience in the Yellow Metal Industry and a strong background in welding and fabrication.

• Read and interpret technical drawings and sketches to ensure accurate assembly and repair of heavy equipment and machinery.
• Use oxy-acetylene cutting torches, plasma torches, and other cutting tools to mark and cut materials.
• Develop and implement bending and rolling techniques to create complex shapes and profiles.
• Prepare materials for assembly by rolling, bending, chamfering, drilling, and punching.
• Assemble prepared metal components using manual arc welding and bolting.
• Fabricate, repair, and maintain yellow metal and commercial equipment, vehicles, and machinery.
• Operate a range of hand tools, portable power tools, pneumatic tools, and pipe and plate bending machines.
• Use lifting machinery and equipment safely and effectively to move heavy loads.

• Grade 12 or equivalent qualification.
• Red Seal Boilermaker certification.
• Experience in the Yellow Metal Industry.
• Motor Industry experience is essential.
