Reporting to the Business Process Engineer, your primary focus will be on creating process design and supporting optimization initiatives to improve business processes.
Job Overview:In this exciting position, you will work closely with various departments to analyze workflows, map processes, identify inefficiencies, and implement process improvements. Your expertise will be essential in developing high-quality and cost-effective process solutions through process design, documentation, process modeling, process improvement, and implementation.
Responsibilities:- Business Process Mapping and Documentation: Utilize relevant tools (e.g., Visio, PowerPoint, Excel) to identify, define, and document existing and new operational methods and processes to increase efficiencies, reduce costs, and contribute to revenue opportunities.
- Process Design Workshops: Facilitate process design workshops with participants from processing areas and process owners to map processes using RMAs approved mapping standards (BPMN), including designing and documenting process decomposition diagrams and defining and documenting processes to cover the total lifecycle of products or services.
- Process Risk and Compliance: Assess the process risk and potential impact of any process changes requested, highlighting risks to process owners, identifying system catalogues and data requirements that need to be altered to integrate business solutions, and collaborating with Risk and Compliance to ensure new processes and process changes meet control requirements.
- Centralized Repository Management: Create and maintain a centralized repository of processes and related artifacts (e.g., procedures, templates, forms), ensuring all processes comply with industry (BPMN) specific standards and conducting gap analyses and implementing action plans to bridge any gaps.
- Process Improvement Implementation: Develop, implement, and promote a continuous improvement culture within the organization, delivering continuous incremental improvements in process efficiencies and process rigor, improving delivery quality, and reducing costs.
To succeed in this role, you will require:
- A Bachelor's Degree (NQF Level 7) in a relevant field such as Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related discipline.
- Understanding of Business Process Management principles, including process mapping, analysis, and optimization.
- Knowledge of process mapping tools and techniques (e.g., Visio).
- 3-5 years of experience in process improvement, business analysis, or a related role.
- Certification in Lean, Six Sigma, or other process improvement methodologies (optional but preferred).
The estimated salary for this role is around $80,000 - $120,000 per annum, depending on location and experience.
