Job Title: Warehouse and Logistics Manager

Tower Group is seeking an experienced Warehouse and Logistics Manager to join our team in Durban. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the effective management of our warehouses and logistics operations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage the day-to-day operations of our warehouses, including inventory management and logistics processes.
  • Lead a team of logistics professionals to achieve productivity targets and ensure all warehouse processes are running smoothly.
  • Develop and implement process improvement initiatives to optimize warehouse operations and reduce costs.
  • Manage fleet operations, including inbound and outbound cargo, and warehouse utilization.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety standards and implement Standard Operating Procedures and risk assessments.
  • Manage and analyze daily and monthly reports to inform business decisions.
  • Develop and implement training programs to enhance staff skills and knowledge.
  • Manage quarterly stock counts and investigate stock variances to prevent re-occurrence.
Requirements:
  • Matric and a relevant degree in Warehousing, Logistics, or Supply Chain Management.
  • 5-7 years of experience in warehousing and logistics, with at least 3 years of proven team management experience.
  • Relevant business and financial acumen, with knowledge of stock take processes and associated terminology.
  • Proficient knowledge of warehouse policies and procedures, MS Excel, SAP, WMS, and good administration skills.
  • Strong leadership skills, customer-centric focus, analytical thinking, communication skills, results orientation, conflict handling, decision making, and planning and organizing.
