Job Summary:

The Senior Civil Engineer will provide support for the full suite of civil activities for renewable energy projects, with an emphasis on the pre-construction context. The role encompasses delivery of technical analyses and designs, as well as support for the engineering department in coordination of work packages and review and quality control within the team.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Project Development
    • Design and optimize road, platform, and infrastructure for PV wind and BESS projects
    • Support development team with tasks related to environmental approvals for civil infrastructure
    • Conduct site visits and report on findings
    • Conduct technical due diligence examinations on prospective project acquisitions and external reports
    • Review and quality control deliverables from junior engineers
    • Other transversal tasks including writing technical methods and procedures
  • Design Review
    • Civil BOP scoping and tender support
    • Review and challenge civil designs from contractors
    • Conduct feasibility studies and preliminary cost estimates for civil works during the development phase
    • Civil & structural risk analyses
    • Support civil & foundation design and reviews
  • Contract Management

Qualification and Experience:

  • MSc Engineering or Equivalent
  • Pr Eng is advantageous
  • 5 years renewable energy experience
  • 8 years professional experience
