Pele Energy Group is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Marketing Manager to join our team.
The Senior Marketing Manager will play a fundamental role in driving the company's strategic marketing goals and executing marketing and communication requirements. This role will lead, guide, and coordinate a team of junior professionals and interns, reporting directly to the Chief Operations Officer.
Key Responsibilities
Strategy Development
- Provide strategic thought leadership for the business, team, and stakeholders, assisting in the development of the marketing strategy alongside the Chief Operating Officer to deliver the company's ambitious business growth goals.
- Develop the marketing execution strategy and rollout plan in line with the business' strategic goals and ambitions, including campaigns, events, and digital marketing.
- Drive the approved strategy, inspiring, influencing, and leading the support team to fully embrace and activate the brand strategy in relevant touchpoints to achieve high brand impact.
- Develop an annual marketing operational plan derived from the approved marketing strategy, including measurement and tracking of marketing activities and digital assets.
- Develop a communications strategy and plan, collaborating with suppliers to execute and communicate the creative strategic direction of the business from a marketing perspective.
- Stay up-to-date with industry research and trends, keeping the department informed and implementing agility to ensure the brand stays top of mind and relevant.
- Manage agencies, budgets, and cross-functional projects, with experience in industry research and trend analysis.
Brand and Communication Management
- Analyze the market to understand trends, competitors, and consumer behaviors, both B2B and B2C, and target market segmentation.
- Define, manage, and grow a brand portfolio, leading in the development of marketing plans, forecasts, profit, and expenses for assigned marketing opportunities.
- Be accountable for the PEG brand investment, monitoring against key metrics to improve the ROI against marketing spend, and briefs to agencies, contractors, and suppliers.
- Manage agency, supplier relationships, and contractors to ensure budget and agreed SLAs are met, building cross-functional relationships internally across the PEG business.
- Create integrated communications by leading and collaborating with respective marketing functions and external marketing resources.
- Direct the development and installation of procedures and controls to promote communication and adequate information flow, maintaining effective internal communication.
- Manage the company's Brand identity, ensuring correct branding and corporate identity at company events, promotions, and launches.
- Stay knowledgeable about company information, audience figures, marketing campaigns, and promotions, and media relations.
Finance and Resource Management
- Analyze, manage, and track budgets, ensuring suppliers and supplier agreements are aligned to budget and annual spend, measuring and tracking scope budget and contractual requirements.
- Manage internal, departmental budgets and track ROI, ensuring marketing campaigns are effectively and efficiently executed to meet objectives, deadlines, and budgets.
- Track and report on budgets regularly to reflect value add and growing the audience experience.
Stakeholder Management
- Conduct research, set objectives, develop marketing briefs, communicate with agencies and other suppliers, and maintain and develop internal and external stakeholder relationships.
- Provide necessary support to ensure a fully functional marketing facility, including regular dissemination of information to internal teams, stakeholders, and strategic partners.
- Build effective relationships with key internal stakeholders, working closely with the executive and senior management team to support business goals while ensuring alignment with Brand and business strategies.
- Provide guidance to resolve complex external relations issues.
Culture
- Support HR in communicating an engaging culture in the organization, identifying and supporting brand champions in the business who understand and uphold business and brand values.
- Add flair and formulate ideas to shape the culture with a marketing lens, driving a positive culture within the respective business unit.
People Management
- Mentor and manage all staff under supervision, conducting performance and talent management activities for direct reports, and driving a positive culture within the respective business unit.
- Oversee the effective utilization of systems and tools to ensure knowledge is managed efficiently for continuous improvement.
- Recognize and make recommendations for the reward of high-performing members, respecting, promoting, and accepting diversity.
Compliance & Governance
- Execute in adherence to all relevant regulatory and business practices, actively managing risk by applying and promoting a culture of ongoing detection and resolution of statutory, regulatory compliance breaches.
- Oversee all Marketing Audit exceptions, ensuring the implementation of preventative measures in the unit, and drive the resolution management of identified top 5 Marketing risks.
Requirements
- Degree in Marketing, Business Management, or International Business.
- Minimum 3 years' experience in a strategic leadership role at senior level.
- 7 years' hands-on experience in Brand Management, Marketing, Communications, or Advertising.
- Solid technical knowledge and awareness across all elements of brand, marketing, and communications.
- Commercially astute, with proven budget management experience, and experience in multi-level negotiation.
- C-suite stakeholder relationship management experience, strategy development, and execution skills, excellent presentation skills, and a tenacious can-do attitude.
- Deep knowledge of strategic Marketing and Brand, with experience managing growing organizations, and confidence to liaise directly with key stakeholders.
- Track record of successfully meeting or exceeding organizational targets, achieving ambitious goals, and driving significant impact.
- Strong consumer marketing expertise, with a strong track record of developing and implementing consumer-led strategies that have delivered exceptional brand impact.
- Creativity and flexibility, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced and changing environment, and the desire and ability to work collaboratively and virtually with staff members across teams.
- Infectious passion and enthusiasm, with a track record of inspiring the team and the business, and bringing key stakeholders on board to strategies and initiatives.
