Headhunters is seeking a highly skilled Estate Planning Specialist to join their team in Port Elizabeth. As an experienced Deceased Estate Administrator, you will be responsible for assisting with the drafting of Wills, maintaining databases, and scheduling interviews with family members of deceased clients.

The ideal candidate will have a sound knowledge of the liquidation and administration of deceased estates, the law of succession, and Trusts. A Code 08 Driver's License and own transport are essential requirements.

This role offers a unique opportunity to work with a reputable company in the Finance, Tax, and Advisory Sector, where you will be part of a dynamic team that provides exceptional service to clients. Key responsibilities include:

  • Assisting with the completion of required forms on the death of a client, to lodge with Master of the High Court
  • Travelling to Masters Court or clients on request of Manager
  • Writing of letters regarding assets and liabilities
  • Obtain valuations of assets

You will also be responsible for attending to the sale or transfer of shares and fixed property, reporting the estate to SARS, and applying for a Deceased Estate Compliance Certificate from SARS. Additionally, you will draft payment requests of all claims filed, liaise with family members regarding estate progress, and maintain a diary and timesheet.

Key skills and qualifications include:

  • Matric (Grade 12) is essential
  • Deceased Estate Planning and Administration Diploma (or law degree) is advantageous
  • A sound knowledge of the liquidation and administration of deceased estates, the law of succession, and Trusts
