Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Millwright Specialist to join our team at Jean Fowlds Consultancy. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning and executing manufacturing activities, ensuring efficient production processes, and maintaining plant assets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manufacturing Operations:
    • Plan and coordinate manufacturing activities to meet production targets.
    • Set priorities for jobs to be manufactured and ensure adherence to work in progress.
    • Identify and alleviate bottlenecks to improve efficiency in the factory.
    • Utilize the workforce to optimal capacity and identify training needs.
  • Equipment Maintenance:
    • Install, maintain, and repair a wide variety of equipment and machinery.
    • Set up and operate rigging systems to move, locate, and/or relocate equipment.
    • Read and interpret drawings, schematics, and technical manuals to ascertain procedures and fault finding.
  • Plant Maintenance:
    • Maintain minimum stock levels of critical spares and consumables.
    • Maintain plant assets, including tools, vehicles, and plant.
    • Manage a small team of technical assistants through effective delegation and inspections.
  • Technical Expertise:
    • Multi-skilled in Fitting and Basic Electrical, with a recognized Millwright Trade Certificate.
    • Experience in industrial plants, with a solid track record of 4-6 years post-qualification experience.
    • Relevant Production Management diploma/degree will be an advantage.

Requirements:

  • Matric
  • Valid drivers license and own transport required.
  • Electrical, Instrumentation, Mechanical, Pneumatics, and Utilities experience in a factory plant environment.
  • Basic understanding of SCADA and PLC systems.
