JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Matriculation or equivalent qualification

  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Must be a resident of Gauteng.

KEY COMPETENCIES

  • Participate in the planning process concerning turnover, gross profit, costs, and staffing levels.
  • Recruit personnel as needed in accordance with the budget.
  • Submit capital expenditure requests aligned with the budget.
  • Procure goods to optimize stock levels, service quality, and gross profit margins.
  • Establish individual contracts with suppliers for product supply in consultation with the Financial Director.
  • Manage non-conforming products in collaboration with the Marketing and Product departments.

ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Work closely with Sales and Marketing teams to forecast demand, manage inventory, and mitigate supply chain risks.
  • Oversee the complete procurement process from suppliers.
  • Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess procurement effectiveness and identify improvement areas.
  • Negotiate and secure the most favorable pricing for Würth.
  • Maintain a service level of 96% or higher.
  • Ensure stock levels are optimized to prevent over-ordering and manage annual stock write-offs effectively.
  • Address special-order requests from customers and internal staff promptly.
  • Foster strong relationships with both local and international suppliers.
  • Analyze purchasing trends to identify cost-saving opportunities while enhancing procurement strategies.
  • Provide quotes for customers and sales staff for items in our existing range or special orders.
  • Handle customer and internal staff inquiries or complaints with professionalism and efficiency.
  • Conduct market research and supplier evaluations to identify potential vendors while ensuring competitive pricing and quality standards.
  • Retrieve shipment information from all suppliers.
  • Guide and support all team members to achieve desired productivity levels.
  • Provide ongoing leadership in vision, direction, morale, discipline, conflict resolution, management, and career development.
  • Conduct one-on-one discussions with all department members.
