Psychiatric Medical Director

We are seeking a dynamic Medical Director to lead our Behavioral Health Program at HAHHH. As a Medical Director, you will be responsible for providing clinical, administrative, and managerial leadership for our 22-bed adult inpatient psychiatric unit.

About Our Department

Our Department of Psychiatry is a national leader in public sector psychiatry, child and adolescent psychiatry, neurodevelopmental disorders, biological psychiatry, neuropsychiatry, forensic psychiatry, psychosocial rehabilitation, women's mental health, and addiction psychiatry.

  • We offer a full range of activities, including case load variety, teaching, and more.
  • We have outstanding training programs which include 27 residents and fellows as well as 16 trainees.

Responsibilities

The Medical Director will oversee patient care with a focus on medication management and medical issues while maintaining a daily caseload. Responsibilities include conducting psychiatric assessments, participating in daily treatment team meetings, managing discharge planning, and facilitating family communications when necessary.

Requirements

  • Must hold a MD or DO degree and qualify for a Massachusetts license
  • Be board certified or board eligible
