Job Title: Civil/Water Engineer

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Civil/Water Engineer to join our team at The Legends Agency. As a key member of our infrastructure team, you will be responsible for designing and managing projects related to water supply and wastewater systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage a team of engineers, technicians, and draughts persons to ensure the successful delivery of projects.
  • Develop and implement systems for smooth project execution, ensuring synergy and coherence among team members.
  • Design and report on civil engineering projects to meet project objectives.
  • Prepare proposals, tenders, and contract documents for infrastructure services nationally and internationally.
  • Monitor and implement site construction work, ensuring compliance with design specifications and standards.
  • Perform ad-hoc office duties as assigned by the Head of Department: Civil Engineering.
  • Guide and train engineers and technicians in design and other necessary skills to ensure continuous professional development.
  • Stay up-to-date with technology developments and research in water and wastewater engineering.
  • Coordinate and supervise the production of technical drawings, design, and reporting inputs by supporting staff.
  • Client liaison, including meetings and reporting.
  • Comply with the company's Quality Management System ISO 9001 requirements.
  • Assist with the preparation of requests for proposals, expressions of interest, panel applications, and tenders.
  • Manage projects and monitor performance and profitability.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • BEng (Civil), BTech (Civil) degree or equivalent.
  • Professional registration or registrability with ECSA as PrEng/PrTech, and SAICE or any recognized professional body.
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in engineering design, management, and construction.
  • Extensive experience in design and construction of steel water pipelines, pump stations, reservoirs, abstraction works, and water treatment plants.
  • Knowledge of MS Office, MS Project, and various civil and water design software.
  • Driver's license is essential.
