Total Recruitment Solutions is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Production Manager to lead our Finishing Department. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing the daily operations of the department, ensuring that production targets are met, and maintaining high-quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Department Management
- Manage daily staff time & attendance, staff requirements, and issues to ensure compliance with company policy and procedures.
- Maintain good discipline and working relations, referring issues to HR as necessary.
- Submit relevant documentation from employees to HR, including leave applications, sick notes, grievances, and disciplinary documentation.
- Manage stock levels of daily consumables and ensure that production targets are met at the required quality standard.
- Manage receiving of jobs from the welding department, ensuring that jobs are received complete without shortages and as per spec.
- Update internal production software with received jobs and file supportive documentation.
- Prioritize jobs for finishing, QC inspection, sandblasting, and powder coating according to due date.
- Keep and maintain a tool and machinery register.
- Ensure that employees are issued with the correct tools and machinery in good working condition to perform their tasks.
- Arrange and coordinate repairs, warranty claims, or new acquisitions of tools and machinery.
- Develop and continuously improve SOPs where possible.
- Develop and implement finishing and quality procedures for new products.
- Assist with the implementation and maintenance of the quality management system.
- Perform tasks as requested by senior management or direct superiors.
Requirements
- Proven experience in a production management role.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Knowledge of quality management systems and procedures.
