Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Solar Sales Consultant to join our nationwide talent pool. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to meet and exceed sales targets for solar energy solutions, particularly within agricultural markets.
Key Responsibilities
- Sales Expertise: Develop and implement sales strategies to meet and exceed sales targets for solar energy solutions in agricultural markets.
- Market Analysis: Identify emerging market trends, potential clients, and new business opportunities in the solar or agricultural sector.
- Customer Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, providing excellent customer service, and ensuring long-term client satisfaction.
- Technical Consultation: Advise clients on solar system solutions tailored to their specific agricultural or commercial needs, including energy-saving strategies.
- Proposal Development: Prepare and present detailed proposals, including technical and financial aspects, to potential clients.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including technical, marketing, and installation staff, to ensure seamless project execution.
- Training and Support: Provide training and after-sales support to clients, particularly in optimising solar systems for agricultural applications.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure adherence to all industry regulations and standards in solar installations and agricultural practices.
- Budget Management: Prepare budgets for projects and sales activities, ensuring profitability and cost efficiency.
- Networking: Represent the company at trade shows, agricultural expos, and solar energy conferences to promote solutions and services.
Requirements
- Experience: A minimum of 5 years in solar system sales or relevant experience in the agricultural sector.
- Knowledge: Strong understanding of solar PV systems, energy storage, and related products.
- Communication: Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Flexibility: Willingness to travel nationwide to support clients and expand opportunities.
- Education (Preferred): Degree or diploma in Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energy, or related fields.

Compensation
The salary for this position is market-related, depending on experience, estimated to be between R600,000 - R900,000 per annum.
