We're assisting a leading company in the Building Services Engineering sector to find a skilled Mechanical Engineer with experience in fire products.

About the Role

The successful candidate will possess expertise in fire protection design and mechanical building services, ensuring the delivery of high-quality projects.

Responsibilities
  • Hold a degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent qualification.
  • Achieve a minimum of 5 years' experience in the mechanical building services environment.
  • Accumulate at least 5 years of experience in designing fire protection systems according to SANS standards, incorporating firefighting equipment, smoke evacuation systems, stair pressurization, and fire sprinkler systems.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in fire safety design software like CFD modeling software.
  • Show excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrate strong proficiency in MS Word and Excel.
  • Prove ability to work both individually and as part of a collaborative team.
  • Show exceptional time management and organizational skills.
  • Demonstrate attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Exhibit strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Requirements

  • Either working towards or already registered as a Professional Engineer with ECSA (Engineering Council of South Africa).
