Key Responsibilities:- Evaluate patient medicine-related needs by determining therapy indication, safety and effectiveness.
- Dispense medicines on prescriptions from authorized prescribers, checking prescriptions for correctness.
- Provide information and advice on medicine use, ensuring patient compliance with therapy and follow-up.
- Administer pharmacist-initiated therapy and supervise compounding, manipulation, preparation or packaging of medicines.
The ideal candidate will have strong English language skills, basic dosing knowledge and important drug interaction awareness. They should possess excellent communication skills, customer service focus and be able to lead by example as a supervisor. Conflict management, attention to detail, numerical skills and problem-solving abilities are essential.
Requirements:- Grade 12 / Matric qualification
- BPharm / equivalent degree and registration with the South African Pharmacy Council (SAPC)
- Minimum 2-3 years' experience in Pharmaceutical care
- Computer literacy in MS Office
- Valid driver's license and own reliable transport
