E-Merge is seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Scientist to lead the development and application of predictive models across the entire credit life cycle. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing, producing, analyzing, documenting, and enhancing a range of predictive models to drive business growth and improve decision-making.
Key Responsibilities:
- Business Requirements Analysis: Translate business requirements into analytical reporting solutions, ensuring that our models meet the needs of our stakeholders.
- Predictive Modeling: Play a leading role in the development and application of predictive models across the entire credit life cycle, leveraging your expertise in machine learning and statistical analysis.
- Research and Development: Conduct continuous research to identify predictors and enhance model development practice and techniques, staying up-to-date with industry trends and best practices.
- Model Monitoring and Reporting: Monitor and report on the effectiveness of scorecard strategies, providing actionable insights to inform business decisions.
- Technical Skills: Possess expertise in Python programming, R code, SQL, and statistical data analysis, with a strong understanding of predictive modeling practices, performance standards, and methodologies.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Education: Hold a degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Applied Mathematics, Financial Risk Management, Data Science, Engineering, or Computer Science, with an Honours or Master's degree being advantageous.
- Technical Proficiency: Possess proficiency in SQL, with one of SAS, R, or Python being a requirement.
- Experience: Have a minimum of 5 years of experience in developing scorecards and a minimum of 2 years of experience in the Credit Risk environment.
